About me
I’m a New Zealand-based photo-hobbyist, dividing my free time between photography and other interests. Silvanestri was/is my gamer tag, which I’ve carried over to other things.
I’m also part gear-enthusiast, with funds being my main limiting factor. I’ve shot on Olympus/OM System, Panasonic, and Fujifilm cameras, with third-party lenses also frequenting my go-to gear. So I’m not really a brand fanboy - I just pick what I feel like using on the day, rather than always picking one system over another.
About the website
I started the blog originally as a way to keep a record of my photography learnings and progress. Most posts were longer than the current blog format, each detailing things like gear settings, gear choices, and what I learned from each particular session.
While I still have much to learn, I’ve shifted the focus of the blog more to be a journal of my activities and experiences.
Ultimately, the main ‘audience’ is “future me” - something for me to look back on to remember my time by. But of course, welcome to everyone who wants to take the time and look around!
