On the streets of Melbourne

One of the things I am still very much new at is doing street photography. Shooting buildings and cityscapes is easy enough (i.e. not as awkward) as any person in the frame is incidental.

What can be more interesting though is what happens day to day, and seeing life just happen around us. But, I still find it awkward and nerve-racking taking photos where people are central or integral to the image. Even worse is when I’m physically closer with the wider angled lenses like the 23mm on the X100V. But I guess it’s one of those things where I simply have to practice in order to (hopefully) get better at it!

I saw this group of police officers stopped at the lights. Not entirely sure what they were doing but I’m guessing they were doing some training as that one in front seemed like they were in charge.

Sometimes though I just find some scenes interesting even without people being the main focus.

I clearly wasn’t the only tourist around!

This guy said as he walked past me that Tropicana is the best breakfast place in town. I didn’t get to try it but I’m sure it’s pretty good considering the quality of many places in the city!

That wraps up my time in Melbourne. As always it was quite a fun wee vacay. Melbourne is definitely my favourite holiday spot at the moment!
