SEA LIFE

I spent a bit of time in Melbourne in Nov/Dec last year. One of the places I’ve been meaning to go to but haven’t until this trip was SEA LIFE.

It was fascinating looking at all the impressive fishies in there. But what impressed me as well was how the X-Pro3 with the Fuji 27mm f/2.8 WR managed to get some decent shots. Considering how dark it was in the venue (a lot of the areas were basically lit only by the lights in the water tanks), and how thick the aquarium glass was, I was pretty happy with the decent quality that turned out.

Of course, in some areas it was almost pitch black apart from the reflected light from above the water, so black and white was the order of the day to salvage some of the photos after pushing the exposure up significantly.

But at the end of the day, I’m just glad I got to capture some photos to remember the time by!
